Kohaku: I see, so this is the European village you were all talkin' about.
I was wonderin' what the replicas of their local buildings would be like... So is this really how it feels t' walk the streets of Europe?
Rei: Indeed it is. I've spent a fair amount of time overseas, and this place does feel like it belongs in a foreign country.
These brick buildings are the spitting image of a town I visited while I was studying abroad, and that church we can see off in the distance... It's so well made, you would never think to doubt that it's real.
Nagisa: ... If I recall correctly, this village was constructed as a theme park during the economic bubble, right?
... It opened its doors to visitors during a period of economic prosperity, and continued scraping by for some time afterwards. But I heard that continuous years of incurring losses eventually led to it being shut down recently.
Rei: My, you're certainly knowledgeable on the subject.
Well, you're not incorrect. It did meet an unfortunate end as a theme park, but you could also say that this weathered state further increases its resemblance to the place it aims to replicate.
This scenery is no unfamiliar sight to you, is it, Ran-kun? I've heard that you have some experience travelling overseas yourself.
Nagisa: ... To me? Yes, I guess it isn't exactly unfamiliar.
... Though, I haven't done anything as fancy as studying abroad.
Mayoi: Wow, you're all so amazing... A homebody like myself, however...
I hardly have any experience travelling domestically, let alone overseas. I suppose the only noteworthy travelling I've done would be heading to Hokkaido for SS...
Ritsu: Well, as idols, we have our location shoots and whatnot, so even those who'd rather stay home still have to move around a fair amount.
I don’t usually care to travel much either, unless I have business back at the family home.
I'm a~ll about sticking to the places I know best. Like my futon, and my bed... ♪
Mayoi: Y-yes, exactly...! Familiar places are the best, aren't they...!
Ufufu, I didn't know what I would do if everyone else in this shuffle unit had far richer life experiences than I did, but I'm glad we can find some common ground.
(Whispering) And now that I've had the chance to interact with both Sakuma-san and Ritsu-san, I can see that they’re... Not as terrifying as the stories I heard from my parents made them out to be.
Ritsu: Huh? What was that about me?
Mayoi: O-oh, it was nothing!
Anyway, what about you, Kohaku-san? Do you have much experience with travelling? At the very least, it seems you haven't been to Europe.
Kohaku: Yeah, I ain't experienced with that stuff either.
'M glad we're the same, Mayoi-han. Even just bein' in this European village is kinda strange to me, so I was worried I'd be the only one feelin' outta place.
Though I guess we ain't gonna have time to think about that once we get started with the filmin'.
Rei: Mm, it would appear the staff have assembled.
Shall we head over to greet them? Little miss Anzu seems to have arrived to survey the venue as well.
I believe it would be best for us to introduce both our names and the characters we will play so the staff can remember us.
Nagisa: ... You're right. We're still newcomers in the world of acting, so let's be especially well-mannered.

Rei: Good morning, everyone. Thank you for gathering here for our sakes.
I am Sakuma Rei, and I will be acting as the Reaper of Judgement, Hardy.
I hope to put up a performance worthy of someone selected for the main character's role, and I look forward to working with all of you.
Nagisa: ... I am Ran Nagisa, acting as the Reaper of Gravekeeping. I look forward to working with you.
... I am not very articulate, but I will do my best at communicating with everyone.
Kohaku: Erm, I'm newbie idol Oukawa Kohaku. I'll be actin' as the Half-Blood Reaper.
I know I have a pretty strong accent, so please correct me on my pronunciation if anythin' sounds off!
Mayoi: I-I too am a newbie idol, Ayase Mayoi, and I'll be acting as the Reaper of Frost.
I-I may occasionally be socially anxious, but I'll do my absolute best!
Ritsu: I'm Sakuma Ritsu, and I'll be acting as the Reaper of Eons.
I'm happy to play a part in bringing this wonderful work to life.
Rei: Well done on greeting the staff, everyone ♪
Once you've placed your bags down, I believe it's time we get changed.
Ritsu: Hey, hold on a sec. I'm still not done talking, don't just cut me off like that.

Rei: ......
Feel free to ask me anything, Oukawa-kun and Ayase-kun. I expect great things of you two ♪
Mayoi: U-understood... To be honest, I've been wracked by nerves this whole time, but I'll do my best...!
Kohaku: Thanks a bunch. Havin' your example to follow will be a real lifesaver ♪

Ritsu: Hm...?

(Come to think of it, he has been weirdly well-behaved today. I don't think he's made any attempts to cling to me yet.)

(I mean, there's no way anija would ever ignore me — not even if the world turned upside down.)
