Sora: HaHa~ ♪ Shisho~ is really good at dealing with people~ It's like you can get along with just about anyone?

Natsume: Well, I am a fortune-teller. What I'm doing isn't quite 'getting along' with people, but looking at the bigger picture and weaving a story that everyone hopes for, saying the things that people want to hear and granting their wishes.
Before they know it, everyone is under my guidance.
No, actually — it's more like they've all become building blocks for the utopia I wish for.
I don't need to be the protagonist; I'm not made for that. Nor do I need to constantly emerge victorious, or have the world revolve around me.
Instead I'll line all the protagonists and heroes up like pawns and move them as I please. At the end of the day, we'll dye this world in the colours we want.

Sora: HiHi~ ♪ Shisho~, you sound like an evil overlord!

Natsume: Yeah, I'm careful to ensure that people don't think that way, come to despise me, and then subjugate me.
For better or worse, I've seen plenty of ineffective examples; I intend to take trends and countermeasures into consideration and do a better job.
No, more than that — by deducing others' intentions and occasionally stepping in to steer things in our favour
At long last, we've arrived at where we are today.
We really have kept you waiting, Sora. But rest assured, I swear there's only a few other trivial things for us to handle.
The preparations we've been making all this time in Yumenosaki and ES are finally about to bear fruit.
First off, Yumenosaki Academy has come under my management via my position as one of the Five Eccentrics. And I didn't achieve that by beating the members of the student council into submission or brainwashing them.
After all, assembling mere slaves or dolls is pointless, no matter how many of them you have.
What I gave to the students of Yumenosaki Academy was simply a story.
A quintessential story of hard work, friendship, and victory. And it shouldn't be scoffed at just because it's a classic fairytale, you know.

Natsume: It is within these stories, passed down from long bygone eras, that you'll find the verities of this world.
The most important lessons for boys' lives aren't taught to them by parents or school teachers — it's fairytales and superhero shows that we learn from. Because those are the stories that were written for us.
So what we did was prepare exactly that.

Sora: HuHu~? What do you mean?

Natsume: Well, the vast majority of Yumenosaki Academy's current Idol Course students are members of either Knights or Ryuseitai, the academy's two powerhouse units.
Unfortunately, it seems Ryuseitai is in a bit of a mess right now...
So we of Switch and the Produce Course will probably be picking up the kids that they've left behind.
... Altogether, this turn of events is just way too convenient for both me and that rotten fiend. I can't shake the feeling that even Ryuseitai's circumstances are part of his plans.

Sora: "His"? Who do you mean by "that rotten fiend"?

Natsume: I'm talking about he whose prowess at scheming is unrivalled — the "Emperor"-sama who doesn't appear to have the slightest interest in descending from his throne.
His excuse is that he was hospitalised and couldn't do anything, but I'm not buying it...
After all, it's not like he was unconscious, so if nothing else, I can only imagine he knew of the situation and chose to let it be.
And just look at the results. Ryuseitai is in top form now that only their strongest members remain, and the kids who were forced out of it have come under Starpro and the Produce Course's jurisdiction.
By having the fledgelings of the Produce Course manage these newbie idols, they'll gain experience, so it's beneficial for the future.
And Starpro stands to gain as this increases their influence over Yumenosaki Academy. Really, how altogether convenient for them.
The Emperor can even excuse himself by saying "I wanted to help, but couldn't since I was hospitalised". He earns massive benefits and zero resentment.

Sora: Hm~mm? But he can't perform or anything while hospitalised, so as an idol Sora thinks that would be a loss?

Natsume: True. I do think there's a chance that it's an unfounded accusation, and I'm just overthinking things.
Perhaps the Emperor simply assessed the situation and made what he deemed to be the most optimal move.
To prevent this tragedy from ending in pure misfortune, he probably tried to salvage as many benefits from it as possible. It's like he's trying to reduce the debt he owes.
