Wataru: — I see. So the tree isn't being delivered?
Madara: Yeah, it sounds like they assumed it was only needed right before Christmas, since it's for a Christmas party...
I'm sure I told them the date to deliver it by, though.
Wataru: Well, this is the peak business season for many places; I'm sure they're extremely busy. It's not unthinkable for there to have been a miscommunication somewhere.
Madara: It seems the supplier has the tree in their warehouse, so I considered taking a car to pick it up ourselves, but... At this hour, we'll just end up getting caught in traffic.

Wataru: ......
The tree itself is available, correct?
In that case, let's leave this place to Knight-san and the rest — we shall settle this ourselves.
[An hour later]

Tatsumi: ... There's only 3 minutes left before the party is supposed to begin.
It appears Mama-san and Wataru-san couldn't make it back in time.
Izumi: Yeah, I guess so... Wait, you're calling Mikejima "Mama-san"? Who'd you pick that up from?
Tatsumi: No one in particular — it was at his own suggestion. "Feel free to call me "Mama", or so he said. Though I often end up calling him "Madara-san" instead.
Anyhow. Our preparations are in order, and the party-goers look ready to begin. Let us do as we were asked to, and keep the party lively and fun until the other two return.
I know you said they were solemn, but would you mind if we played some hymns just to start off?
I brought this along, you see... ♪
Izumi: A cassette player and a tape? They look pretty old, do they belong to you?
Tatsumi: No, they belong to the church. I remembered that we had them sitting in the storeroom, so I borrowed them for today.

Woah. First static, and now it's stopped. What gives?

Nazuna: He~y, what happened?
Tatsumi: Nazuna-san, Makoto-san. The cassette tape suddenly stopped working.
All I did was press the play button...
Makoto: I see... Can I take a look?
Izumi: Yuu-kun, can you figure out what's wrong?
Makoto: ... Yeah. The cassette player itself is fine, but I think the splicing tape in the cassette is broken.
Tatsumi: Broken... What have I done to this item I borrowed from the church...?
Makoto: Ah, please don't look so down. It's pretty common for these to break when they're old, and it can be fixed by putting the leader tape and magnetic tape back together.
I think the broadcast room in Yumenosaki Academy has the tools to fix it... Would you mind letting me keep this for a couple of days? I'll find some time to fix it up.
Tatsumi: Thank you very much. I apologise for the trouble, but please do.
Makoto: Leave it to me! I'm pretty good at tinkering with machines ♪
I'll extract the music and save it digitally too; that way you can listen to it even on your phone.
